How to choose the perfect skirt for your body type...

Get some idea how to choose perfect skirt

One of the trickiest things about picking summer skirts is determining the proper hem length. Not only do hem trends change drastically, but with so many extreme opinions on the subject matter, choosing the proper length can sometimes be a challenge.
Rather than letting the opinions of others influence your style, it’s important to wear what makes you feel most comfortable. A good rule of thumb is to have the hem fall at the leanest part of your leg; this is usually mid-thigh or just below the knee. For those of you who are leg shy, maxi skirts are a fabulously fashionable skirt option.

Girl's favourite skirt styles here

High Waisted Skirts

This style of skirt hits right at your natural waist, which is generally the smallest part of your torso. The cinched style of this skirt will offer a slender appearance, while masking the dreaded belly bulge.

Try avoiding larger waistbands, as these can sometimes draw attention to your midsection and be unflattering. One of my favorite high waisted styles is the tulip skirt, which can be ultra flattering if you’re a girl with curves, ideal for pear shape and hourglass figures.

Maxi Skirts
Many women feel that maxi skirts are best left for taller fashionistas when in reality they are actually a great way to give the illusion that you’re taller than the charts may say. When picking the perfect summer maxi remember the shorter you are, the slimmer the skirt should be to avoid an overbearing appearance.

Also opt for a high waisted maxi to help achieve a visually elongated look. If you have a banana or apple shaped body, try a flared maxi for added shape and balance. Also go with a lightweight fabric in lighter hues for a classically chic ensemble.

Professional Pencil Skirts
Pencil skirts are perfect for pear and hourglass shaped bodies, looking to show off those killer curves. Retro pencil skirts are becoming a huge trend, so try rocking an extra long pin up pencil skirt for an extra dash of fash.

If you have the banana shaped figure, go for a pencil skirt with a peplum to help create the illusion of a curvier physique. This added flare can also help transition your pencil skirt from office attire to a high fashion date night look. For an even more flattering appearance, try a pencil skirt with a side slit to draw attention to your legs and away from your midsection.

Don’t be afraid to wear whatever skirt makes you feel most stylish and happy. Remember, there is nothing more attractive than confidence and if you’re wearing something that makes you feel great, everyone around you will be sure to take notice.
